The pups headed to Concord June 3, 2017 to show to respected hound authority, Bob Stein.
Toomee, WD Buckee, RWD Blanca, WB, BOW, BOS Lexee, RWB Thanks to Bob Stein for the honors and thanks to Cody Flowers for piloting them around the ring. Thanks to Cody Temple for putting the finishing touches on Lashes' new title.....Grand Champion Omen Cee Candace Khariz JC.
Lashes two kids, Toomee and Blanca were also shown by Cody and all did a great job. More practice and more exposure coming up! Despite the chaos of the move to Georgia, Leo has managed to get into the ring with Chris M. as his very excellent handler. Following are the results of his recent forays into the ring.
Feb. 3, 2017 - Sawnee Mountain KC - Winners Dog March 17, 2017 - Louisville KC - Winners Dogs, Best of Winners - Judge Neil T. McDevitt March 18, 2017 - Greater Louisville Training Club - Winners Dog, Best of Winners - Judge Betty-Ann Stenmark March 19, 2017 - Louisville KC - Winners Dog, Best of Winners - Judge David Bolus After several years of on and off searching, Khariz Hounds has moved to Georgia. Doggie activities have more or less stopped while the move progresses. All being made ready for the dogs with the help of dear friends Cathy and Scotty Temple, and family, Keith Guidebeck and Steve Autera. This could not have been done without you all. From left to right, Steve Autera, Scotty Temple, Cathy Temple and Keith Guidebeck. Construction crew par excellence!
Toomee, Lexee and Blanca had their first show adventure on December 10 and 11 2016. Considering it was the first time in a ring, it did not go too badly. Lexee came home with WB, BOW, BOS and BBE at Saturday's show.
The next day, Blanca and Toomee got their shot at the purple. Blanca was WB and BOS and Toome BOW. Each one of them came home with their first point. Sincere thanks to Sari Brewster Tieijan and Helene Neitsch for their kind handling of the puppies. Thanks also for your wonderful comments about their quality. We had a great time visiting with Scotty and Cathy Temple and practicing the puppies on lure coursing. Unfortunately, not everyone was equally enthused! Their nearly 16 year old Aunt Riah had to show them how it was done. Not a dry eye on the field when Riah took off after the lure. Go Riah!!! Besides being beautiful you have a fabulous heart!
Summer Best of Breed over the number one Afghan Hound bitch at Hanover Kennel Club. Thanks to Chris M. for saving the day by showing her when I was unable to. Great job as always.
